Electrical Design in RenovationLaajuus (3 ECTS)

Objective

On completion of the course the student will be familiar with the phases, parties and documentation of a renovation process in electrical building services engineering, and is able to create the documents for various phases in different kinds of renovation processes. The student is able to make the decision between preservation and renewal, based on regulations and technical-economic reasons. The student will know the methods to determine, using calculations and measurements when necessary, the condition of older electrical structures in order to make planning decisions. The student will also be familiar with the process of inspecting the systems to ensure they are functional and in accordance with regulations, before the commissioning of the renewed parts.

Content

The various planning phases, such as advance, project, draft and implementation planning, tasks under construction time, commissioning tasks, separate individual tasks, preparation for realization of the contract. Planning bid and planning contract, documents and plans in electrical building services engineering, operation and maintenance manuals, bidding documents and other documents related to the drafting stage of the contract. Planning assignments related to different separate renovation tasks in electrical building services engineering, electrotechnical tasks done in connection with renovation in other fields, along with the necessary measurements and inspections.
