Surface treatment practices of buildingsLaajuus (5 ECTS)

Objective

The student knows the process of the surface treatments of buildings (new and old) beginning from the surface treatment specification up to the finish of the whole project. He knows both the interior and facade surface treatments. He knows the substrates to be coated. He can plan the proper treatment systems, acquire the materials and work force at time, manage the work place and schedule it optimally. The student can calculate the material and work force costs.

The student can do the surface treatment specifications, specifications for biddings, produce bids documents, cost calculation, project planning. He is able to advise workers in their problems and to manage the project. He is able to work together with coworkers and other people connected to the project.
