Objective

The student is orientated to cariologic and periodontal health care. The student is aware of the basics of occupational safety in cariologic and periodontal health care. S/he is familiar with the characteristics of a healthy mouth, morphological characteristics of the teeth and the clinical signs of caries. The student understands the basics of physiological working in oral health care. S/he knows and manages the methods and documentation of periodontological health care. S/he displays competence in managing the methods of cariologic health care and the methods in finishing fillings. S/he learns to remove the factors that gather biofilm in the mouth. The student is trained to perform coarse and fine depuration. S/he is trained in cariologic and periodontal health care that requires fine motor functions.

Occupational safety: use of materials, machines and equipment, hygiene and physiological working

Morphological characteristics of the teeth
Characteristics of a healthy mouth and the clinical signs of caries
Basics of cariologic and periodontal examination
Methods in cariologic and periodontal health care
Basics of fine and coarse depuration, principles of finishing fillings
Simulated fine motor function practices; removal of biofilm retentive factors
