Osaamistavoitteet

The student understands the designing process of an industrial collection in accordance with the company’s business image and takes into account the requirements of cost efficiency and the image in product designing. The student can operate goal-directed and understands his responsibility as a member of the design team in a cooperative innovation project. Teaching methods: Lectures, independent and supervised working. Evaluation: Completing the assignments, participation and activeness in the designing process, presenting the collection portfolio and the finished products.
The student will be able to creatively produce the products designed in the innovation project taking advantage of free designing, patterning and mixing different materials. The student will utilize the CAD programme when designing a pattern. The student will understand the subcontracting process related to the manufacturing.

Designing a collection on the basis of a company’s business strategy. The influence of pre-selling and industrial production in material choices and acquisition. Designing a collection and its business graphics in accordance with the business image.
