Objective

At the end of the course, the student is expected to master the main aspects of cost management in construction projects, describe the process of a tender competition and the necessary documents, classify construction site costs by building components and cost categories, and list the stages of cost monitoring on the construction site. After completing the course, the student will be able to perform quantity surveying and pricing based on a tender request. The student is familiar with the calculation programs used in HVAC tender calculations and can use at least one program under guidance. The student understands the different stages of tender calculation and that calculations are also made for construction production purposes in tender calculation.

Content

Calculation Methods and Tender Competition. Quantity Surveying and Pricing. Construction Site Cost Calculation and Tender Calculation. Formation of the Construction Site Target Estimate and Target Budget. Basics of Construction Site Cost Monitoring. Presentation of the Company's Organizational and Cost Structure. Software.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student can, with assistance, perform a comprehensive cost calculation based on a building services tender request. The student understands the documents of a tender competition and cost categories. The student can use at least one cost calculation program with assistance.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can almost independently perform a comprehensive cost calculation based on a building services tender request. The student understands and can partially independently create documents for a tender competition and allocate costs to different cost categories. The student can almost independently use at least one cost calculation program.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can independently perform a comprehensive cost calculation based on a tender request of building services. The student understands and can create documents for a tender competition and categorize costs into different cost categories. The student can independently use at least one cost calculation program.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student can, with assistance, perform a comprehensive cost calculation based on a building services tender request. The student understands the documents of a tender competition and cost categories. The student can use at least one cost calculation program with assistance.
