Objective
Students will be familiar with the latest modelling and data visualisation systems needed in the design of future production plants. The student knows the importance of pipe classes and related standards for future design requirements.
Students will be able to take into account the factors required for the thermal insulation of piping and equipment and the installation of insulation to ensure energy efficient implementation.
Students will be familiar with process risk management methods during design and will be able to use them to improve the safe implementation of the plant.
Content
The course covers the tools, skills, and methodology listed below for designing a future manufacturing plant to ensure that it is implemented in accordance with sustainable development values.
1. Modern modelling and data visualisation systems

The student is able to define and describe the concepts and phenomena included in the course in a qualitative way and to compute straightforward problems.

The student is able to understand and define or describe the concepts and phenomena discussed in the course in his own words; he also knows how to explain the origin and meaning of related equations and to critically evaluate the solutions obtained when solving related problems.

The student is able to characterize and model phenomena discussed in the course on the basis of reasonable assumptions, as well as to analyze, evaluate and modify solutions for related problems and the underlying model when needed.
