Objective

The students know the fundamentals of mathematics and the fundamentals of physics and measurement units related to the professional field. They understand how forces affect objects and are able to count tension forces in suspension situations. They can apply the physics of sound and light in the live performance engineering systems. The students are able to choose tools and structures based on physical properties of the materials. They can give rationale to their solutions in live performance engineering based on mathematical and physical knowledge.

Content

- In mathematics: numeral systems, calculation rules, equation solving and trigonometry.
- In physics: dynamics, statics, sound and electromagnetic radiation
- Physical properties of metals and some other materials
