Student
- understands the significance of civil society in the well-being of individuals and communities
- understands the role of advocacy, volunteering and activism in promoting human rights, equality and sustainable development
- recognises the role of organisations in the provision of social and health services
- is familiar with diverse modes of voluntary and civic activities and understands their relationship to professional work
- is familiar with different concepts of empowerment and emancipation and knows how to promote empowerment
- is capable of acting ethically within the fields of voluntary or civic activities.
