Objective

The student is knowledgeable of the principles of lower extremity orthotic therapy. The student is able to plan and prepare customized foot pressure relieving applications and toe orthosis. The student is able to utilize different pressure relieving methods and toe orthosis materials in various ways. The student is able to assess the impact of pressure relieving applications and toe orthosis. The student is able to combine orthotic therapy as part of the client’s other podiatric therapy. The student knows how to consider ecological sustainability when planning the client´s orthotic therapy.

- Planning, manufacturing and evaluation toe orthoses
- Materials of toe orthoses and paddings
- Ecological sustainability in orthotic therapy
