Objective

The student utilises and deepens his/her previously acquired knowledge in customer care of prosthetic clients and in the design and implementation of assistive technology solutions.
The student will be able to use the classification of functional levels in the assistive technology process. He/she will be able to design basic prosthetic solutions for leg and thigh amputation levels, based on which he/she will take measurements and fabricate the prosthesis under supervision. The student will apply and deepen his knowledge of materials and components in a wide range of applications. the course. He/she will master the basic principles of prosthesis alignment and fitting and will be able to instruct the client in the use of the prosthesis and assess the usability of the prosthesis and the quality of his/her own work.

Content

- Meeting and evaluating the prosthesis client
- Individual design of the assistive device solution
- Assessment, examination and measurement of the client's functional capacity
- The process of making a leg and thigh prosthesis
- Components and materials
- Fitting and alignment of the prosthesis
- Assessment and guidance

Qualifications

Credit for the following courses:
- Transtibial tibial prosthesis TT
- Transfemoral prostheses TF
