Internship 2. Meeting Memory Care ClientsLaajuus (6 cr)

Objective

The student will be able to
- interact with memory care clients in a professional manner
- apply the principles of person-centred care
- support the active role of older people in daily activities
- assess and support an older person in daily activities using a resource-oriented approach
- recognise changes in the behaviour of memory care clients and respond to them in a person-oriented manner
- identify and describe their professional growth.

Qualifications

Completion of Internship 1. Promoting Cultural Well-being of Older People (5 ECTS) is required before starting Internship 2. Meeting Memory Care Clients (6 ECTS).

The student must have submitted the learning assignments of the course Person-centred Memory Work (4 ECTS) before starting this internship.
