Objective

The students understand safe working practices as a significant part of their professional competencies in live performance engineering. They advance and sustain a safe and sustainble working enviroment in their workplace. They are familiar with the factors related to ergonomy in their work and work in an ergonomical way. They are familiar with the protective equipment needed in live performance engineering work and uses the equipment when needed. They can prevent fires in live performance venues. They know how to work safely in fall-risk zones. They are able to work safely with the electronic systems related to live performance engineering. They can work safely with the most common tools, and can use chemicals common in live performance activities in a safe way. They can handle and suspend live performance technological equipment safely.

The students are familiar with the concepts and knowledge base of the safety practices of the professional field. They are safety-oriented and able to work independently in professional situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students are able to use the concepts and source materials related to safety in the professional field in a concistent and versatile way. They are able to apply the knowledge base in their professional capacity. They advance safe activities and are able to sustain safe conditions in performance activities.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The students are familiar with the safety practices of the professional field and are able to acquire information related to them. They can work in professional situations following instructions.
