Objective

Learning practices, identification of competences and study planning (HOPS)
• The aim of the course is to give you a smooth start to your studies.
• After completing the course, the student will be familiar with the study practices and procedures of the training.
• Students will recognise their prior learning and be able to plan their studies in line with the objectives of the qualification.
• After completing the basic information security course, students will be able to handle information appropriately, identify the most common security threats and be prepared to meet the requirements of working life in terms of security skills.
• After completing the basic AI course, students will understand the principles of large language models, knowing their advantages and disadvantages. They will be able to use AI in a responsible and ethical way in learning, taking responsibility for the content of their own work and following good scientific practice.

Content

• Identification and recognition of competences: preparation of the application for accreditation (eAHOT) according to the procedures of the degree programme.
• Study planning and HOPS: familiarisation with the study programmes on offer and preparation of a personal study plan in accordance with the procedures of the degree programme.
• Training policies and practices: familiarisation with study practices with the support of the programme guidance staff.
• Basic knowledge and skills in information security and data protection.
• Training and critically evaluating your own AI model. Understanding the concepts underlying AI and the correct context in which to use it.
