Objective
The student knows what kind of technical systems are in the building and what they are related to.
The student understands the requirements of technical systems for the dimensioning and location of premises.
Together with a specialist designer, the student knows how to place the technical systems in the building.
Together with a specialist designer, the student can compare different options.
The student knows what makes up the total energy economy of the building and how the energy economy of the building can be influenced by material, structural and design solutions.
The student sees the solutions made in terms of ecology and sustainable development.
The student knows legislation and guidelines related to technical systems and energy economy.
Content
Electrical, water, heating, air conditioning and automation systems of buildings.
The effects of HVAC design on building design.
Space requirements for technical systems.
Basics of energy economy.
Ecology and sustainable development in the energy economy.
Teamwork.

Basic information about building materials, structures and building design.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student masters the content of the course and satisfactorily achieves the Competence Objectives of the course.
The student understands the basics of the subject only a little. There are significant shortcomings in the application of the basics of the subject to tasks. As a rule, the solutions are incoherent and the justifications fumbled. The whole gives the impression that the student has internalized the contents of the course only to a small extent.
The student has made little use of guidance. The presentation material prepared by the student is of satisfactory quality. There are significant deficiencies in process management.
The student takes responsibility for his own learning only to a small extent. He looks at and evaluates things only from his own point of view. The student's attitude is passive.
The student has a lot of absences.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student manages the content of the study course and achieves the Competence Objectives of the study course well.
The student understands the basics of the subject of the course and knows how to apply what he has learned to practical work. He can consistently justify the reasons and consequences of the choices made in the exercises. The presentation material prepared by the student is in accordance with the instructions.
The student has utilized the guidance and developed his work based on the feedback he received. Work progresses consistently during the Study Course and activity in lectures and assignments is good. The student controls the process.
The student takes responsibility and commits not only to his own activities but also to the activities of the group. The student knows how to give and receive feedback actively and constructively. He examines and evaluates things from both his own and the local community's point of view.
The student has very few absences.

Opiskelija hallitsee opintojakson sisällön ja saavuttaa osaamistavoitteet kiitettävästi.
Opiskelija hahmottaa kiitettävästi opintojaksolla käsitellyt asiat ja osaa soveltaa oppimaansa monipuolisesti ja oivaltavasti käytännön työhön. Opiskelija osaa kuvata ja perustella harjoitustöissä tehtyjen valintojen syyt ja seuraukset asiantuntevasti. Opiskelijan laatima esittelymateriaali on ohjeistusten mukaista ja korkeatasoista.
Opiskelija on osallistunut opetukseen aktiivisesti ja rakentavasti. Hän on hyödyntänyt aktiivisesti ohjausta ja kehittänyt työtään saamansa palautteen perusteella.
