Objective

The student can explain the different step of the design process, initiate a design project, and perform heat loss and airflow calculations. The student can create a drawing list, floor plan drawings, and an equipment list, as well as carry out equipment sizing and selection.

Design process and its steps. Project initiation. Drawing list. Heat loss and airflow calculations. Floor plan drawings (heating, water and drainage, and ventilation). Equipment list. Equipment sizing and selection

Qualifications

Competences of the following studies:
- Heat Distribution Systems in Buildings
- Water and Sewage Systems
- Air Conditioning Technology 1
- Design and Modeling of Town House HVAC Systems
- Residential Apartment Building HVAC-Systems and Modeling
