Objective

After completing the course, the student
• understands the basics of colour perception
• identifies the characteristics of colour shades and the interaction of colours
• communicates about colour shades more professionally
• understands the historical, cultural, and psychological meanings of colours from the perspective of their own field.

Content

• Introduction to colour phenomena and deepening of "colour literacy" and communication about colour shades
• Basic concepts of colour perception and colour
• Interaction and juxtaposition (contrast) of colours
• Colour management in physical and digital environments
• Standardised colour systems

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass: Students understand colour phenomena and concepts as well as the applied use of colour systems. Students can communicate about colours and colour phenomena.
