Objective

The student
• can compose and write lyrics for music for various pedagogical purposes
• can creatively utilise music writing methods in their activities
• is able to work purposefully in a group and can both give and receive constructive feedback on their own and others' music
• can express their musical views verbally and in writing.

Content

The course includes pedagogical compositions for different purposes and configurations, seminar work and exercises as well as creative writing and lyric writing.

Qualifications

The student can use key music applications and music technology tools. The student masters the essential means of expression in Western notation and can apply them in their own music-making. The student can listen to and analyse their own and others' music and texts analytically, and apply what they have learned in their own music-making. The student can actively and proactively participate in group work and can discuss and give constructive feedback on the productions of other group members.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to write music for pedagogical purposes and apply different methods of music writing in it.
