The student
• has the basic knowledge of the development of Western architecture and interior design
• is able to identify specific characteristics, forms and colours of historical interior design styles
• is able to search for information and apply the knowledge of different design styles in their design work.

• Interior decoration and the major movements in Europe
• The influence of social changes in architecture and historical styles
• Materials, colours and forms of different periods and their changes
• Architectural field trips
• Portfolio

The student
• has partially achieved the objectives of the course
• understands the development of Western architecture and interior design styles
• recognises European interior design styles and their distinctive features, materials and use of colours
• recognises the importance of information retrieval as part of the quality of the final design work
• has successfully completed the assignments.
