Objective
The student
• develops proficiency in key design software, understanding their primary functionalities and applies them effectively as integral tools in the design process
• learns to integrate software use with other systems and services, and uses software interfaces to enhance collaboration and functionality.

• Role and importance of design software within the overall design process
• Integration of design software with other products and services through interfaces
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student
• participates in the course activities at a satisfactory level
• demonstrates a basic understanding of the primary functionalities of design software and can use them at an introductory level as part of the design process
• has a limited understanding of the role of software within the overall process and recognises, to some extent, the importance of software interfaces.

The student
• actively participates in course activities
• demonstrates a strong command of the core functionalities of design software and applies them competently in design work
• understands the role of software within the overall design process and is able to purposefully use software interfaces to integrate services
• effectively applies efficient workflows and selects appropriate tools and methods for their tasks.
