Objective

Students will learn about the production techniques, concepts and communication of motion graphics. They will be able to produce animated text graphics that support the content of a video work and understand their importance in video productions. Students will be able to produce motion graphics for publication and transfer formats.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the production methods and terminology of business graphics, and is able to prepare graphic material for production. They know the workflow of a motion graphics project, the key stages of the design process and can carry out a small motion graphics production to a satisfactory level. They are able to produce publication formats for different purposes from their project.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply in practice the production methods of business graphics and knows the related terminology, and is able to prepare graphic material for production. They understand the workflow of a production project, the key stages of the design process and their objectives. They are able to carry out a small business graphics production at a good level and are capable of independent problem solving. They know the specificities of publishing environments from a video production point of view.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to apply different production methods of animation and motion graphics in practice and masters the related terminology. They know the workflow of a motion graphics production project, the key stages of the design process and understand their objectives. They are able to implement motion graphics production, and are self-directed in finding ways to achieve a visually high quality result. be able to produce publication formats for different purposes from a project and understand their specificities.
