Course unit code: KX00EF43

General information

Credits

Objective

The student
• develops their industrial design skills by familiarising themselves with the product design requirements of the customer, the product and the end user
• is able to identify problem areas related to the product being designed and to solve them by means of industrial design
• learns to recognise the importance of industrial design as a factor affecting the cost structure and quality of a product
• is able to take into account the effects of manufacturing, material, economic and ecological factors on the final product
• learns how to make 3D CAD design data from the most common instant model technologies, using sophisticated physical models as well as computer visualisations
• learns about the methods used to make computer aids and the conditions that they place on 3D CAD files.
