Objective

Students master the basic concepts of 3D graphics and the fundamentals of modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering. Students are able to post-process images produced with 3D software and to integrate them into photographs and graphics produced with 2D software.

Content

• 3D terminology
• Fundamentals of modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering
• Post-processing of rendered images
• Integration of photographs, 2D graphics and 3D illustrations

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• understands the basic concepts of 3D graphics and masters the basics of creating 3D graphics
• is able to post-process and combine images produced with a 3D program with photographs and 2D graphics.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• understands the basic concepts of 3D graphics and masters the basics of creating 3D graphics
• is able to apply what has been learned independently
• is able to post-process and combine images produced with a 3D program with photographs and 2D graphics.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• understands the basic concepts of 3D graphics and masters the basics of creating 3D graphics in many ways
• is able to apply what has been learned independently
• is able to post-process and combine images produced with a 3D program with photographs and 2D graphics
• has strong skills in modelling, texturing, lighting and camera use.
