Objective
Students will identify the possibilities of regional networking in strengthening the clients’ participation and agency. Students can identify the existing structures of the community, its history, agents and networks. They identify the challenges faced by the community and encourage co-operation between different agents. Students know how to apply different research and teamwork methods in regional work.
Content
Intrinsic and cultural structures, layers and historical phases of community: sub and partial cultures. Examination of reality and starting social changes through action research methods. Regional work, networking and community work. Traditions of neighbourhood and local activity and socio-pedagogical work.

Objective
Opiskelija tunnistaa alueellisen verkostotyön mahdollisuudet asukkaiden ja asiakkaiden osallisuuden ja toimijuuden vahvistamisessa. Opiskelija osaa kartoittaa olemassa olevia yhteisön rakenteita, historiaa, toimijoita ja verkostoja. Hän tunnistaa yhteisön haasteita ja innostaa eri toimijoita yhteistyöhön. Opiskelija hallitsee aluetyöhön soveltuvia tutkimus- ja ryhmätyömenetelmiä.
