Objective

The student
• is able to describe the research and development process and the data acquisition, research and development methods used in it
• is able to follow the ethical principles of research and development, taking data protection and information security into account
• can work as a responsible creator of knowledge in compliance with the principles of responsible conduct of research.

• Research and development process
• Basics of qualitative and quantitative data acquisition and analysis methods
• Literature review
• Basics of development work
• Ethical principles of research and development and responsible conduct of research
• Basics of information security and data protection in a thesis

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE BASE; the student
• uses professional knowledge base consistently
• searches for knowledge and justifies the use of sources
• justifies actions by means of evidence-based knowledge.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND ACTIONS; the student
• applies professional skills to different situations
• can act in a client-oriented way
• solves professional tasks and problems.

ETHICS, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT; the student
• ensures safety and in accordance with the ethical principles of the field
• acts as an expert in multidisciplinary groups with people with diverse cultural backgrounds
• develops own professional skills.

• applies professional concepts and knowledge fluently and diversely
• evaluates and uses evidence-based knowledge critically.

• applies professional skills with a sense of anticipation and is capable of independent decision-making in different situations
• acts responsibly and in a client-oriented way
• applies alternative solutions to professional decision-making.

• evaluates professional activities and safety according to the ethical principles of the field
• acts as an expert of the field in multidisciplinary groups and projects in cooperation with people

• takes responsibility for the client/patient’s overall care and service process within health care

• does not adequately consider safety and ethical principles of the field
• does not have sufficient skills to participate in group or development work.
