Objective

The students are familiar with different ways of providing social and health services and the guiding legislation. They are able to analyze the operating environment and structures of social management as well as anticipate its current challenges. They know how to participate in the strategy process and development work as employees and supervisors. They know how to inspire the work community and clients to develop together. The students know the social significance of entrepreneurship as well as the relationship between the economics and business. They understand the importance of productivity and profitability of organizations and companies’ operations, are able to create new business ideas and understand business related procedures. The students understand the importance of competence management and are able promote well-being at work.

Content

The changing operating environment at work, identifying of ecosystems. Strategic thinking and management, competence management, change management, managing human resources. Inclusion of the work community and the client in the development of the work community, work and services. Entrepreneurship related legislation, contractual practices and funding in the field of social and health services. Productization, pricing, branding and marketing of services. Starting a business from a business idea to a business plan, different types of companies, procurement procedures and tendering. Partnership networks as part of the success of the business and the organization. Entrepreneurial attitude and skills, managing well-being at work, work community skills and self-management.
