Objective

The student knows the main principles of usability and user interface design and knows how to apply them in the design of the visual look of the online service. The student can identify factors affecting the user experience and usability of an online service. The student knows the special features of online typography and knows how to make justified typographic solutions. The student knows how to design and implement a website. The student knows how to use online publishing techniques and tools in their own productions. The student knows how to take factors affecting the accessibility of online services into account in his/her design work.

The student can describe the factors affecting the usability of the user interface. The student knows how to design the visual look, typography and functionality of a website using appropriate work tools. The student knows how to implement a website and publish it.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can evaluate the usability of an online service. The student knows how to design a website's visual look, typography and functionality with appropriate work tools and takes into account the principles of visual user interface design in their own design work. The student knows how to plan, implement and publish a website, the solutions related to visual appearance and usability are mostly functional. The student knows how to search for additional information to solve problems.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can evaluate the usability of an online service systematically and analytically. The student knows how to design the visual appearance, typography and functionality of a website with appropriate work tools, apply the principles of visual user interface design in their own design work and justify the solutions they have made analytically. The student knows how to design and implement a high-quality website in terms of usability and visual appearance and publish it. The student can independently search for new information and apply what he/she has learned.
