Objective

The student can describe the HVAC system solutions of a residential apartment building and their characteristics. The student knows how to design and dimension the water and sewage system and heating system of a residential apartment building, as well as the ventilation system, and models the systems with computer assistance.

Content

Typical structures of apartment buildings. The apartment building's water and sewage systems, heating systems and ventilation systems. Cooling of premises and supply air. Placement of pipelines, ducts and equipment. Fire safety and smoke extraction. Modeling HVAC systems.
