Objective

The student knows the bio-food industry and its characteristics.

The student knows about bio and food processes and their optimization.

The student is able to select suitable raw materials for the process. The student is also able to determine the properties of raw materials and products.

The student can apply the skills learned in statistical mathematics and experimental design to process optimization.

Content

1. Bio- and/or food technology process
2. Introduction of the industrial sector
3. Raw materials used in a process
4. Analysis of product properties
5. Optimization of the process by using experimental design and statistical methods
