Objective

The student searches for and utilises scientific knowledge that applies to their field and becomes familiar with the research methods used in their field. The student can describe an evidence-based and evidence-utilising working method in osteopathy.
The student recognises development needs in their field by utilising the field’s knowledge base and takes time to reflect on their choice of subject for their thesis. The student works actively to advance their personal professional development.
The student can describe person-centred, ethical and evidence-based activities that aim for understanding the client in the health care, social services and rehabilitation sectors in order to promote the client’s activity and functional capacity.
The student understands the theoretical meaning of osteopathic principles in clinical work and considers the principles in the light of the latest scientific research.
The student is able to appropriately apply the national and international knowledge base of their field. The student uses the knowledge related to their field to seek, adopt and standardise sustainable solutions and working models. The student can communicate in an expert manner both orally and in writing.

- Student can search for knowledge resourcefully utilizing sources of the field and uses the knowledge base of the field
- Student is familiar with the knowledge base and core components of the profession

- Student has adequate professional skills to work in the profession
- Student can work in a client-oriented way
- Student solves professional tasks and problems

ETHICS, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
- Student works safely and in accordance with the ethical principles of the field
- Student displays competence benefitting groups or projects
- Student is able to evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses and development needs
