Objective
The student can integrate financial management and accounting with the company strategy and its implementation.
He/ she can analyze financial statements. The student can create a financial plan for a business, including a budget and investment plan, and knows how to exploit the existing sources of funding.
The student can price products and services professionally for social and health care markets.
The student develops financial management based on cloud services and networks.

Financial planning and budgeting of a social and health care organization
Financial result and profitability
Income statement and balance sheet
Pricing of products and services for social and health care markets
Financial data gathering and utilization for business management
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Sufficient performance: has completed basic requirements to pass the course and has made a try to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing but has not made enough effort overall. The student has demonstrated little effort, interest and motivation for individual or team activities / assignments and the output is only satisfactory.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good overall performance: can apply and articulate concepts and information well both verbally and in writing, certain areas of individual or team output require further attention; shows appropriate level of interest and motivation in individual and team activities. Good or very good analysis and development phases and presentation.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent performance in all elements of the course: shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support his/her argument with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent analysis and development phases, excellent presentation.

Assessment will be based on a group and an individual assignment. Each assignment is
worth 50% of the final grade.
1) Group assignment (3-4 students per group): this assessment requires students to
produce a report analysing the performance and operations of a Social or Health Care
Organization that they choose.
2) Individual assignment: this assessment requires students to produce an individual report
about one of the topics from Parts 2 or 3. The report should include both a theoretical section
(with a review of the main concepts and theories) also a practical section (where students can
discuss and analyse how those concepts and theories can be applied to a Social or Health
Care Organization of their choice.
