Objective
Upon completion of the course, the student is familiar with the basic concepts of usability, is able to identify, evaluate and justify safety issues related to the use of medical devices, knows methods to improve usability and can use them appropriately, and is able to communicate fluently and in a timely manner.

The student is familiar with the basics and concepts of usability. The student will be able to identify and describe safety issues related to the use of medical devices. The student knows and can use methods to improve usability, and is able to communicate and report results.

The student is properly familiar with the basic concepts of usability. The student is able to identify, evaluate and justify safety issues related to the use of medical devices. The student has a good command of methods to improve usability and is able to apply them appropriately. The student will be able to communicate and report results clearly within a given timeframe.

The student has an excellent understanding of the basics and concepts of usability. The student will be able to identify, evaluate and justify in a thorough and critical manner the safety issues related to the use of medical devices. The student has an excellent command of methods to improve usability and can apply them appropriately and to a high standard. The student will be able to communicate and report results convincingly within a given timeframe.
