Students have the right to apply for recognition of prior learning. The recognition is based on the student's skills regardless of the ways the fore mentioned expertise has been acquired. The student has the responsibility to demonstrate the skills required in the study objectives and to provide the required information and documentation based on which the decision for approval will be made.

Profile of the programme
Master of Engineering is a one-year university of applied sciences (UAS) degree that can be completed after a four-year first-cycle UAS degree. The Master of Industrial Management degree produces the same competence to public office as the Master’s degree in science universities. The extent of the degree is 60 ECTS credits. The Master’s degree in Industrial Management complies with level 7 requirements of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) for lifelong learning and the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for Finland.

The professional knowledge of the degree brings the student to the forefront of knowledge in the field of work Industrial Management, focused on service business or managing logistics operations. Course methodology enhances critical awareness, analysis and cross-fertilization of interdisciplinary knowledge. The methodology fosters analytical and methodological skills as ways applied problem-solving aligned with systematic research. Professional competence development for co-creative team communication and international multi-site collaboration prepare the graduate for complex and unpredictable challenges that require novel strategic approaches.

Access to further studies
The Master of Engineering degree is currently the highest degree-level in universities of applied sciences in the field of technology in Finland. Our students continue studies in science universities, specialization studies in UASs, abroad in post-graduate studies and workplace training schemes.

Graduation requirements
A student is eligible to graduate when he/she has completed all the required courses set for the degree as a present student (extent 60 ECTS credits).
Mode of study
Studies are implemented as courses, course modules or projects. Studies include contact teaching and self-study. Studies aiming towards a degree are implemented as multi-format study.
