Objective
The student acknowledges the impact of megatrends on procurement and the strategic nature of procurement.
The student is able to analyse how the company´s vision, mission and corporate strategy impact the development of its procurement strategy.
The student is able to evaluate procurement-related internal and external influences on company strategy, including the role of stakeholders and external resources in the different phases of procurement process.
The student compares ways to organise procurement function and relates maturity models in assessing the status and development potential of the procurement function.
The student is able to exploit a spend analysis, classify purchases and create a purchasing portfolio analysis for both direct and indirect procurement.
The student is able to judge outsourcing decisions and strategic impact of make-or-buy analysis.
The student distinguishes the principles and stages of category management and how to apply the approach in practice both in direct and indirect procurement.
The student is able to develop procurement performance management and create KPIs for both strategic and operational procurement.

Completed higher education degree (Bachelor level)

The student has completed basic requirements to pass the course and has made an attempt to apply and articulate concepts and information both verbally and in writing but has not made enough effort overall. The student has demonstrated little effort, interest and motivation in individual or team activities / assignments and the output is rather weak.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student has good overall performance, can apply and articulate concepts and information well both verbally and in writing, but certain areas of individual or team output require further attention. The student shows appropriate level of interest and motivation in individual and team activities. Good presentation delivery and analysis.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student shows excellent performance in all elements of the course and shows interest and motivation in individual and team activities and assignments, fully applies and clearly articulates concepts and information both verbally and in writing. The student is able to support their arguments with references to the recommended reading and lecture content. Excellent presentation delivery and analysis.
