Objective
After completing the course, the students are able to:
• perceive the effect of the three-dimensional shape of a woman's body on a two-dimensional pattern.
• compare and crosscheck shaped and drafted patterns.
• understand the effect of shapes and patterns on the fit and functionality of a garment.
• apply design techniques to the design of clothing and patternmaking.
• design different clothes using different materials.
Content
Shaping of different types of women's clothing and their details on a mannequin, using different materials. Studying the shapes of the styles in two dimensions. Familiarization with drafted patterns and comparing the results with the patterns shaped on a mannequin. Keeping a learning journal for describing design exercises and the learning experiences gained.
