Academic and Communication Skills (5 ECTS)

Objective

Students know their physical and social study environment and the academic counselling and study practices at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Students know the structure of the curriculum and they are able to complete their study plan. Students recognize their strengths and development areas in learning. Students are capable of international skills development and goal-oriented career planning.
Students know how to find, evaluate and organize information. Students are familiar with the genres of academic writing and they can write well-composed expository texts. Students are able to work in a group and they can present their learning process and skills orally. Students know how to operate in the academic ICT environment. Students know how to use the academic information systems, office suite software and social media tools.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Opiskelija tuntee pääpiirteissään opiskelun käytänteet sekä pystyy käyttämään opinnoissa tarvittavia tietoteknisiä järjestelmiä. Opiskelija havainnoi omaa oppimistaan. Opiskelija osaa ohjattuna käyttää ja tuottaa ammatillisessa asiantuntijatyössä tarvittavia suullisia ja kirjallisia tekstilajeja.

Opiskelija tuntee opiskelun käytänteet ja käyttää sujuvasti opinnoissa tarvittavia tietoteknisiä järjestelmiä. Opiskelija tunnistaa oman oppimisensa vahvuudet ja kehittämiskohteet. Opiskelija osaa itsenäisesti käyttää ja tuottaa ammatillisessa asiantuntijatyössä tarvittavia suullisia ja kirjallisia tekstilajeja.

Opiskelija tuntee opiskelun käytänteet ja käyttää sujuvasti opinnoissa tarvittavia tietoteknisiä järjestelmiä. Hän reflektoi omaa oppimistaan ja on valmis kehittämään oppimisvalmiuksiaan. Opiskelija osaa tavoitteellisesti käyttää ja tuottaa ammatillisessa asiantuntijatyössä tarvittavia suullisia ja kirjallisia tekstilajeja. Opiskelija osoittaa halua kehittyä asiantuntijan viestintä-ja vuorovaikutustaidoissa.
