Learning outcomes
The student can construct learner-centred teaching sessions taking into account varied needs of different groups and contexts. They can utilise various ways of creative and artistic expression, composition and improvisation as well as pedagogical approaches in their music education practice. They are able to apply the pedagogical methods and knowledge about group dynamics and reflect on their pedagogical choices.
The student is able to support the learning of individuals and groups with fruitful and varied pedagogical approaches. They enhance well-being and self-expression in their music education practice and value music activities as part of living a fulfilled life.
The student can use musical activities and creative practice in new contexts in the society applying approaches and elements of music education practice. They can create innovative new approaches through collaboration with other fields and professionals, e.g. in social and health care contexts and in education programmes of arts institutions. They also recognise new possibilities of developing themselves as musicians and pedagogues.
Content
Learning occurs through participatory and creative group work, lectures, discussions, guided assignments both individually and in small groups, learning diary, written assignments based on literature and participation in the projects in collaboration with working life. The cornerstones are facilitated reflection and sharing one´s experiences in the group of peers.

See competence goals for the How Music Affects Us course. Individual assignments or learning tracks can be created according to recognised prior experiential learning.

Location and time
Opetus pääasiassa ti 9-15/ to 9-15 välisinä aikoina. Tarkempi aikataulu vamuka-lakanassa. Vamuka opetus alkaa yhteisellä Megapäivällä to 3.9. klo 9.00-11.15, ja iltapäivällä klo 12.30-15.00 2.-4. vuoden sisällöt ja modulit vuosikursseittain.

Content scheduling
Opetus tapahtuu tiistaisin 9- 15 ja torstaisin 9-15 välisenä aikana. Tarkempi aikataulu ja sisällöt erillisessä vamukalakanassa syyslukukauden 2020 alussa.
