Objective

On completion of the course the student
• knows the basic skills of object-oriented programming and web development
• is familiar with open application interfaces and is able to utilise these in their own applications
• is able to carry out a small software development project and to document the resulting output at a sufficient level
• knows the principles of software testing
• becomes acquainted with mathematical-scientific concepts and tools that form the basis of engineering education
• understands the connection of these contents to different aspects of information and communication technology and are able to apply the methods they have learned in practical problem solving
• is able to act as active members of a project group and communicate in English appropriately in oral and written interaction situations typical for project work.

After completing the basic course in artificial intelligence, the student will understand the principles of large language models and their advantages and disadvantages. They will be able to use AI in a responsible and ethical way in learning, taking responsibility for the content of their own work and following good scientific practice.
