Objective

Students
- are familiar with the central guidelines, recommendations and legislation on sexual and reproductive health as well as the roles and rights of women and their families
- are able to care and counsel women and their families in questions related to sexual and reproductive health
- can care and counsel gynaecological patients in the various operating environments of gynaecology
- bring up topics related to sexuality with individuals and population groups and promote the implementation of sexual and reproductive rights
- bring up topics related to domestic violence with individuals and population groups and promote the implementation of sexual and reproductive rights

KÄTILÖTUTKINNON SYVENTÄVIIN AINEOPINTOIHIN SIIRTYMINEN OPPIJAN POLUN OPETUSSUUNNITELMASSA
Kätilötutkinto rakentuu sairaanhoitajatutkinnon opinnoista ja niihin pohjautuvista kätilön aineopinnoista.
Kätilön aineopinnoissa edellytetään hoitotyön aineopintojen antamia valmiuksia.
Opinnoissa suoritetaan ensin hoitotyön opinnot eli sairaanhoitajatutkinnon edellyttämät opinnot, sekä teoriaopinnot että harjoittelut, ennen kuin opiskelija voi siirtyä kätilötyön aineopintoihin. Myös SX00DZ92- Seksuaali- ja lisääntymisterveys ja englanti -opintojakso tulee olla suoritettuna.
Kätilötyön aineopinnoissa Naisen hoitotyö ja seksuaaliterveyden edistäminen on ensimmäisenä suoritettava opintojakso. Myöhemmät opinnot rakentuvat tämän opintojakson päälle.

Prerequisites

The student may choose professional studies in midwifery after having successfully completed the theoretical studies included in the professional studies of nursing as well as the clinical practices in the operating environments of medical and surgical nursing, unless otherwise agreed in student´s study plan.
