Objective

The student is able to document his / her skills in writing and visually. The student understands a professional portfolio as a tool for developing his or her skills and becomes familiar with different approaches to a professional portfolio. The student is able to modify the contents of his / her portfolio to suit different purposes. The student understands the basic principles of graphic design and is able to produce graphic material to support his / her professional activities. Students become familiar with graphic printing methods and know how to cooperate with a printing company. He / she will master the basics of computer aided graphic design.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student masters the approaches of different portfolios and is able to assess the needs and special requirements of the portfolios used. The student is able to document his or her own competence and produce a learning or project portfolio from it. The student masters the basics of typography and graphic design as well as the use of the necessary layout and vector programs.

The student masters well the approaches of different portfolios and is able to assess the needs and special requirements of the portfolios used. The student is able to extensively document his or her own competence and produce a high-quality learning or project portfolio from it. The student has a good command of the basics of typography and graphic design as well as the use of layout and vector programs. The student is able to apply his / her knowledge in cooperation with a printing company.

The student has an excellent command of the approaches of different portfolios and is able to assess the needs and special requirements of the portfolios used. The student is able to extensively document his or her own competence and produce a meritorious learning or project portfolio from it. The student has a very good command of the basics of typography and graphic design and is able to use the necessary layout and vector programs skillfully. The student is able to apply his / her knowledge in cooperation with a printing company.
