Learning outcomes
The Students
• identify the key structures and functions of the human body
• identify the key theories and explanation models of physical ageing
• identify changes in human physiological functions caused by natural physical ageing and are able to assess their effects on the functioning of an old person
Content
• the key structure and functioning of the human body: tissues, musculoskeletal system, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary excretion system and fluid balance, nervous system, senses and hormonal regulation
• key theories and models of physical ageing
• changes caused by natural ageing in different organ systems and the impact of these changes on human activity;
