Objective

On completion of the course the student will be able to solve material and energy balances.
The course objectives are to acquire such a level of knowledge and skills in equations, matrices and vectors that are required in other studies in the student’s own field of specialization. The course will also enhance the student’s computer aided computational skills.

Content

1. Material and energy balances
2. Solving pairs of equations
3. Matrix algebra
4. Solving systems of linear equations
5. Determinedness of systems of linear equations
6. Vector algebra
7. Computer aided mathematics

Evaluation scale
