Objective

The student knows the basics of live performance and theatre technology systems and the basic use of equipment. The student is able to set up simple sound, light and video systems and use them as part of a team in typical situations. The student is able to document the operation of the system. The student is able to carry out simple rigging and lifting safely. The student knows the safety risks associated with systems and can take them into account when building and operating a system.

The student can set up simple functioning light, sound and video systems and use the system equipment as part of a team. The student identifies the risks associated with rigging and hoisting and can carry out simple safe rigging or hoisting work as part of a team. The student observes the safety practices of the industry in their work.

The student can design and set up simple functioning light, sound and video systems and use the system equipment independently. The student identifies the risks associated with rigging and hoisting and can carry out simple safe rigging or hoisting work independently. The student observes the safety practices of the industry in their work.
