Introduction to Studio WorkLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The student becomes familiar with the operating principles of music production and studio equipment, and their practical applications on an elementary level. The student understands the fundamentals of hearing, sound and acoustics, and the operating principles of electronic music devices and instruments. The student becomes acquainted with basic studio equipment and signal routing and learns to use them in practical applications.

- Attending tuition
- Completing and submitting the given exercises and assignments according to the agreed schedule
- Passing a written exam
- Participating in recording and mixing of at least two music tracks in a small group setting in the Metropolia sound studios.
