Objective

The student knows the cinematic tehcniques and skills needed in a small scale exercise film production.

Cinematography and editing
The student knows the physical principles of cinematic image. The student knows the fundamentals of visual storytelling and lighting and can use basic camera equipment. The student can edit a short series of images and can manage the sound and image material workflow from shooting to editing, sound post-production and release print.

Sound Design and Production

The student knows the physical principles of sound. The student knows how to observe sound from the point of view of technology and expression. The student knows the basic equipment of sound design and production work and the most common working environments. The student knows the meaning of sound in storytelling. The student knows the job descriptions of sound design and production and the most common recording situations in media productions and is able to evaluate the factors that affect the recording situation. The student knows the fundamentals of sound editing.
