Objective
During this course students will get familiar with the empowering, restorative and therapeutic possibilities of nature and garden. The students will reflect on their relationship to nature and garden and explore different ways of being in the nature and doing activities in the nature. The students will learn the basics of horticultural therapy. The students will get inspired to use nature and garden activities in their work.
Content
Empowering nature and garden - meaning and connection to human health, wellbeing and culture. Nature and horticultural therapy for different ages and client groups. Nature day and study visits. Growing plants. Lectures and independent assignments. Seminars.

The student is able to

Fail:
The student
- does not know or appreciate knowledge in the field sufficiently

- is not acting in accordance with his training and guidance
- is not familiar with instructions related to professional safety or ethical principles
- withdraws from cooperation with others
- The student's professional level is not properly developed
