Objective

Students know the operating environment and the main occupations and actors in Finnish journalism. Students are familiar with various audiences and target groups.

Students know the difference between judicial regulation of journalism and ethical self-regulation. Students are able to assess the impact of judicial and ethical factors on choices and actions of a journalist and publicist. Students know the ethical principles and regulations of journalistic work and are able to apply them to solve problematic situations.
