Objective

Fundamentals of television camera production:

Students know the fundamentals of studio techniques, camera operation, sound recording, video expression and lighting in television projects. Students know the multi-camera production process. Students are capable of working in one or more professional roles in multi-camera productions.

Occupational safety in media productions:

Students know how to prevent hazardous situations and what to do in case of an accident.

Screenwriting:

Students are able to produce a screenplay in the fiction film format for an audiovisual practice project.

Production Management:

Students know the production environment at Metropolia. They are able to apply their knowledge in production process planning and filming practices in practice projects.

Cinematography and Editing:

Students are able to plan and execute the cinematography and lighting of a fictional story by using lightweight equipment.

Sound Design and Production:

Students are able to apply recording and sound post-processing techniques in practice. Students know the technical and artistic workflow in typical media productions.

Video Editing:

Students know the fundamentals of video editing and are able to apply their knowledge in practice.

Documentary Idea Development:

Students know how to do background research on the topic of their documentary and to develop a documentary film script.

Cinematography and Editing: Fundamentals of Cinematic Techniques (KM00BL09) or equivalent.
Production management: Fundamentals of Content Creation (KM00BL11) or equivalent.

Attendance in classes. Assignments completed. Some parts of the assignments need improvement.
