Objective
Students familiarise themselves with the most common applications of music technology (e.g. MIDI, notation software, sequencers and the use of other music learning, training and education computer programs). In addition, students become familiar with the core skills of image and video processing, the most common video and audio formats, and the use of computer-assisted transcription tools. Upon completion of the course students are able to use common computer-based music applications in their studies, as well as professionally.

- Practical use of basic music applications
- Practical use of notation software
- Practical use of sequencing software (MIDI recording and editing data)
- Practical use of digital image editing and storage
- Practical use of video editing software (combining picture and sound)
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Evaluation focuses on course work, knowledge acquired by the end of the course and achievement of the course objectives.
To pass the course students are required to:
- Participate in classes and successfully complete assignments
- Gain at least satisfactory understanding of the course content
