Objective

Students are able to record and edit using sequencer software. Students are able to use sequencer software’s audio and MIDI features.

Content

Course contents and standards are tailored to the needs of each group of students. The course deals with DAW-based sequencers, such as Logic Pro etc.

- Audio and MIDI data processing software exercises
- MIDI controllers and MIDI file editing
- Software key commands
- The basics of digital audio signals
- Computer-based systems and communication between devices
- Digital multi-track recording and summing
- Audio processing and editing

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Evaluation focuses on course work, knowledge acquired by the end of the course and achievement of the course objectives.
To pass the course students are required to:
- Participate in classes and successfully complete assignments
- Gain at least a satisfactory understanding of the course content.
