Objective

Students are able to use studio recording software e.g. Pro Tools. Students are able to record and edit with studio hardware. Students are capable of continuing to improve their skills after the course.

Content

Course contents and standards are tailored to the needs of each group of students.
- Digital Audio Workstation audio routing (e.g. Pro Tools exercises)
- The basics of digital audio signals
- Computer-based systems and communication between devices
- Digital multi-track recording and summing
- Audio processing and editing
- Tools used for mixing

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Evaluation focuses on course work, knowledge acquired by the end of the course and achievement of the course objectives.

To pass the course students are required to:
- Participate in classes and successfully complete assignments
- Gain at least satisfactory understanding of the course content.
